Shreyas Talpade About His Place In Bollywood As An Outsider, Talks About Pushpa And Shah Rukh Khan.

Shreyas Talpade is undoubtedly one of the versatile actors in the Bollywood industry. He has created a name for himself with wonderful performances in movies like Iqbal, Golmaal franchise, Om Shanti Om, Apna Sapna Money Money, Welcome to Sajjanpur to name a few. Now, the actor’s Marathi movie ‘Hee Anokhi Gaath’ released in theatres on 1st March and receiving positive reviews.

Shreyas Talpade Talks About His Bollywood Journey:

In a recent Interview with Zoom, the actor spoke about his journey as an outsider in Bollywood.

Answering whether he has found his footing in the industry, the actor said, “I don’t know. To be very honest, of course, I have dreamt of being in the Hindi film industry. But I never thought that I would end up being a hero in the Hindi film industry. Ok, so now when that happens, you’re, as it is, happy. I’m a hero here and some of my films have worked. So, the ratio technically, of many films working to not working is a very good ratio. I mean there are very few actors who would say that. Let’s say 10 out of my 25 films have worked at the box office, which is a decent enough ratio to have. So that is one part of it.

Shreyas Talpade About Pushpa Dubbing:

The other thing is, you never know which film or which work of yours will click in what manner. For example, something like Pushpa. The actor(Allu Arjun) worked on it for 100 days. I worked only eight days in one studio, dubbing my voice for it and the kind of recognition that I got for it was phenomenal. It was at par with all the actors that got their recognition in the film,” Shreyas told Zoom.

He further spoke about his belief in destiny and hope that things could turn for the better for anyone any day.

I feel you never know where you’re destined to go. The only thing in my control is to keep working. I have no regrets per se and, If people feel that I haven’t got my due and there’s a lot more to me than what they’ve seen, then I think that’s a very, very good sign because in this new life probably there’s something more to come out of me. And you never know what that is. It could be Hee Anokhi Gaath or it could be the other films that I’m doing. So I guess I’ll just keep my fingers crossed. I’ll wait and I’ll keep working tirelessly in a sense, in whatever manner I can, to make sure that I entertain my audience”.

Shreyas Talpade About Shooting With SRK For Om Shanti Om:

In another interview, Shreyas took a trip down memory lane and recalled his experience while shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’.

We had so much fun doing the movie. It was unbelievable. SRK was already a superstar and I was just entering films. I have done just 3.4 films. The way he took care of me and was secure about me doing improvisations and additions, made a lot of difference. That was the reason our chemistry looked the way it did on screen. Even today people remember us as Om and Pappu.

SRK has that knack for making people comfortable. He becomes your pal from school. My wife also keeps saying that she’d like to see Shah Rukh and me do something crazy together because there was a lot of improvisation in so many scenes. Whether it was us flicking our hair back or speaking like Om Prakash Ji, the crazy things we ended up doing, I really miss that. I would like to team up with him again something for a film and do crazy things again”, he concluded.
