Here’s The List Of Films Releasing On OTT This Month:
Akhanda
Balakrishna’s Akhanda with the blockbuster success become the saviour of the industry in a time of crisis. It will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 21st January. It has Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead. The stunning hit also marked the hattrick for Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu combination.
Pushpa: The Rise
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa released in theatres on 17 December last year amid huge expectations. Within a few weeks, the movie hit the Rs 300Cr mark. Though the footfall in theatres continues, the makers decided to release the Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions in OTT. It is directed by Sukumar and Rashmika Mandanna appeared as the female lead. The movie will start premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 7th.
Varudu Kaavalenu
Naga Shaurya And Ritu Varma’s Varudu Kaavalenu released on 29 October 2021 in theatres and received appreciation from the critics. The movie is directed by Lakshmi Sowjanya under the Sithara entertainments banner. Ritu Varma’s vintage number ‘Digu Digu Naaga’ has impressed the audience. The movie is releasing on Zee 5 on 7th January.
Lakshya
Lakshya is Naga Shaurya’s second release in 2021. He is seen with a ripped six-pack body in the movie made based on archery. With a decent storyline and good performance by actors, the movie got a good response from the audience. This sports drama movie directed by Dheerendra Santhossh Jagarlapudi and Ketika Sharma played Naga’s love interest. This movie also starts to premiere on 7th Jan on Aha.
Pelli SandaD
Popular actor Srikanth’s son Roshan Meka and Sree Leela starrer Pelli SandaD is a sequel to the 1996 hit film Pelli Sandadi. The movie is directed by debutant Gowri Ronanki under the supervision of K. Raghavendra Rao. The movie couldn’t do well at the box office. It is releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on Sankranti on 14th January 2022.
Shyam Singha Roy
Natural Star Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy is a movie based on reincarnation and sets in the backdrop of Kolkata. It run successfully in theatres. The movie is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Venkat Boyanapalli. It is releasing on 26th January on Netflix. The movie also stars Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian in important roles.
Raja Vikramarka
Kartikeya Gummakonda is one of the actors in Tollywood who has earned popularity with his excellent performance in recent times. Kartikeya starrer Raja Vikramarka is a spy thriller written and directed by Sri Saripalli is also releasing on Aha this January.
Virata Parvam
Rana Daggubati’s long-awaited movie Virata Parvam is based on the Naxalite movement. The movie also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead and Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra in the important roles. It is directed by a young director Venu Udugula who earlier made Needi Naadi Oke Katha. The movie is jointly produced under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions. As per the sources, the movie is expected to release on OTT this January.
