Varun Dhawan who entertained us with Bawaal last year is currently shooting
for A. Kaleeswaran directorial VD 18. The film which was officially launched
last week features Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as female leads. It is
presented by Atlee and jointly produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee and
Jyoti Deshpande.

Varun Dhawan has recently shot a song with 100s of background dancers in a
grand set up in Mumbai. The song is composed by Thaman S and Choreographed by
Shobi Master. As per the latest reports, Varun will be shooting action scenes
till March end. Though the movie has officially launched recently, major parts
of the shoot were already completed including drama, romance and comedy
scenes.
Now, Varun Dhawan will continue to shoot just action scenes for the period of
three months. Atlee and Murad Khetani have roped in 8 best Action directors
that include Sunil Rodrigues(Sooryavanshi, Jawan, Shershaah, Pathaan), Yannick
Ben(The Family Man, Khuda Haafiz, Furie), Anl Arsu(Sultan, Kaththi, Kick,
Singham 2, Rowdy Rathore), Manohar Verma(Madras Café, Mardaani, Airlift),
Anbariv(KGF, KGF 2, Leo, Salaar, Indian 2, Kalki), Kaloyan Vodenicharov(No
Time To Die, Theri, World War Z), Paneer Selvam and Bronwin October(Tomb
Raider, Saaho, Warrior).
Sources also reveal that the makers wanted to keep action sequences as real as
possible with less usage of VFX.
Keerthy Suresh sharing the video on her Instagram wrote “Please shower your
blessings and good wishes on this project that’s very close to my heart. This
one is going to be very special working with my friends, like family ❤️”.
VD 18 marks the Hindi debut of Keerthy Suresh. Apart from this, Keerthy is
currently working in Siren, Raghuthatha, Revolver Rita, and Kannivedi, all
these films are in Tamil language.
