Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently shooting for Vijay’s next tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 67’. After the blockbuster success of ‘Vikram’, Thalapathy 67 has become talk of the town because it is going to be part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Lokesh has planned the shooting schedule for 170 days and filming is already underway.
Fahadh Faasil about Thalapathy 67:
Fahadh Faasil who played an important role in ‘Vikram’ has revealed an important update about Lokesh’s upcoming film. Apart from acting, Fahadh Faasil has produced many films since 2014. His upcoming production venture ‘Thankam’ is set to release on 26th Jan, 2023. While talking to the media at the press meet for Thankam, Fahadh made an announcement about ‘Thalapathy 67’. He said, ‘Given that this movie is within Lokesh’s universe, I may be in it’. He was also asked whether there will be a standalone cinema based on his character Amar. Replying to this, Fahadh said ‘It’s too early to share about it. The announcement should come from the producers’.

‘Thalapathy 67’ is the next movie of Vijay after Varisu. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is roped in to play the antagonist in the film. Trisha, Priya Anand, Gautham Menon, Arjun, Mysskin were already confirmed to be part of this. Anirudh is the music director, Manoj Paramahansa for cinematography, and produced by Dhananjayan.
Vijay and Sanjay Dutt will join the sets for the next schedule in Kashmir in the first week of February. Makers are planning to release the movie in Oct, 2023.
