Samatha Ruth Prabhu has recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition
called Myositis. She took a break from the current shootings. Despite her
illness, the actress started the promotions of her upcoming film Yashoda.
Yashoda is a story of the women who chose to become a surrogate mother in
exchange for money. An intense performance with many action scenes are
expected from the actress by fans after watching the trailer.
Lately, taking to her Instagram, Samantha posted a few pictures in the black
pantsuit. Samantha is looking beautiful in glasses as she poses to the camera
sitting on the couch. She wrote the caption as “Like my good friend
@raj.nidimoru says, no matter what the day is like and how shitty things are,
his motto is to Shower Shave Show up !! I borrowed it for a day ♥️ For
#yashodathemovie promotions .. see you on the 11th”. To this, Raj replied as
“Why just borrow, own it! 😊 Onwards & upwards Sam!! 💪🏽💪🏽”.
Fans and celebs pour in best wishes to the actress by taking to the comment
section. Director Nandini Reddy, a dear friend of Samantha wrote Anddddd she’s
back ☝🏼😎😎😎. A user wrote ‘I pray and wish for your speedy recovery sam
❤️🙌’. Fans have dropped comments like ‘The eternal queen of film industry
💓💕💕💕💕’ and ‘Lots of love n strength to you Sam’.
Earlier, announcing her fans about her illness, Samantha made a post on her
Instagram. She wrote “Your response to the Yashodha Trailer was overwhelming.
It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the
strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at
me. A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called
Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it
is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realizing that we don’t
always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is
something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I
will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days….
physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one
more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I
am one more day closer to recovery. I love you.. ♥️ THIS TOO SHALL PASS”.
Talking about her work, Samantha will be seen in Yashoda from new directors
Hari-Harish. The movie features popular actors like Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi
Sarathkumar, and Murali Sharma. While Mani Sharma scored the background music
and cinematographed by M. Sukumar. Financed by Sridevi Movies, the movie is
set to hit theatres on 11th November 2022.
Apart from this, Samantha is working in a couple of films. A heroine oriented
film ‘Shaakuntalam’ by director Guna Shekar and another film ‘Khushi’
alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
