On June 9th, a horrific attack happened when armed terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying 65 pilgrims returning from Mata Vaishno Devi and heading towards a Cave temple in Shiv Khori in Reasi District of J&K. The bus attack claimed lives of 10 people and left 33 others injured.

Bollywood celebrities Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan, and others condemned the attack.
Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle to condemn the heinous terror attack. She wrote “Devastated. This heinous attack on innocent pilgrims is horrific. Why civilians and children?! It’s so hard to comprehend the hatred we’re witnessing around the world.💔”
Newly elected MP Kangana Ranaut called it a cowardly attack. She said “I strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on the pilgrims in Reasi, Jammy & Kashmir. They were going for Vaishnodevi Darshan and terrorists open fired them only because they were Hindus. I pray for the departed and hope for the swift recovery of the injured. Om Shanti”.
Varun Dhawan expressed his condolences to the victims. He wrote “Devastated by the horrific attack on innocent pilgirms in Reasi. I strongly condemn this cowardly terrorist act. Praying for the departed souls. My condolences to the victims and their families. Om Shanti 🙏”
Alia Bhatt reacted “This is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.🙏💔Voilence against the innocent shakes the very core of our humanity!”
