Without any doubt, Sridevi is an undisputed queen of Bollywood. On the other
side, she was very protective of her daughters. In an old interview, talking
about her daughters, Sridevi said “I’m a very protective mother, but I’m not
possessive. There was a time I thought I’ll ensure my daughters get settled
and I get them married. But that’s wrong because I also want them to be
independent, and they should take up a profession where they can stand on
their own feet”. She further added that “But when Janhvi took up acting as a
profession, like any mother I felt possessive”. Sridevi went on saying “I know
this profession has given me everything in life, but it also meant giving away
your life out in the open. So when I got to know her choice, I was taken
    aback”.

Late actress Sridevi had shared a good bond with her daughters. Earlier,
Janhvi Kapoor recalled how Sridevi told the wrong spelling of her name. “When
I was in school, I had just started learning how to spell. I genuinely didn’t
know the spelling of my name. Mom (late actor Sridevi) was showering in her
bathroom and I yelled out to her. ‘Mumma, how do you spell my name?’ She
misspelt my name. She said J-A-N-H-A-V-I”. She continued saying “And for some
reason, I never questioned it. For eight years”.

However, not only family members, many Bollywood and South celebs also
remembered the late Sridevi on her birth anniversary. There are many
unforgettable memories of the Actress which cannot be ignored by the Indian
audience and will be remembered forever.
