The Kerala Story directed by Sudipto Sen released last week. Several organizations protested the allegedly hateful propaganda-filled movie in order to have it banned. Islamic organizations said that inaccurate content, mostly regarding Muslims, was presented.
The Kerala Story Banned In West Bengal:
Filmmaker and President of the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association Ashoke Pandit has condemned the ban on The Kerala Story in West Bengal. On Monday, Ashoke shared two quick videos on Twitter. Amitabh Bachchan, an actor, is heard speaking in one of the recordings during a recent event in the state. The second video shows a person filming how the Kolkata Police stopped the movie from being screened.
Sharing the clip, Ashoke captioned the post, "Happening in the same state Bengal where Amitabh Ji few days back was raising the issue of Freedom of expression. Unfortunately today a thought-provoking film #TheKeralaStory is banned by the same CM sitting on the stage applauding to what Bachchan Sahab was saying. I wish and hope Industry together condemns this dictatorial attitude of Mamata Banerjee."

In this movie, directed by Sudipto Sen, it is shown how 32000 Hindu women from Kerala have been smuggled abroad under the pretense of "love jihad." Additionally, it has been demonstrated that Muslim women who convert to the organization ISIS join it and carry out terrorist acts. They are treated similarly to sex slaves in the film The Kerala Story.
Khushboo About The Kerala Story:
Actress Khushboo expressed her support for the movie in response to the strong protest. In response to this, Kushboo tweeted, “They are fighting to ban The Kerala Story because of fear. They are afraid of realizing the truth that has been told or being a part of it.”
Wonder what scares those who are fighting to ban #TheKeralaStory . The blatantly told truth or the fear of realising of being part of the truth, unknowingly & silently for years. Let people decide what they want to watch. You cannot decide for others. TN govt gives lame reasons…

Khushboo also added, “Let people decide what they want to watch, don’t decide for others. The Tamil Nadu government is giving false reasons to ban this film. But thank you for making people understand that this is a must-see film.” This tweet of Khushboo is going viral.
However, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday announced a ban on Sudipto Sen's film The Kerala Story. Since the film's trailer released, criticism has surrounded it. It was condemned for the trailer's earlier assertion that 32,000 females from Kerala vanished and later joined the terrorist organization ISIS.
The Kerala Story actress Adah Sharma's Recent Instagram:
News agency ANI quoted Mamata Banerjee saying, “West Bengal govt has decided to ban the movie The Kerala Story. This is to avoid any incident of hatred and violence, and to maintain peace in the state.”
Ashoke Pandit speaking to the media said, "I condemn the banning of the film The Kerala Story by the West Bengal government. It's a big attack on the freedom of expression of a filmmaker. It is sending the wrong signal to the entire country."
