Bollywood's one of the best romantic-comedy movies 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' has completed 10 years today. The film has brought Ranbir and Deepika together for the second time after 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. It was the second film for director Ayan Mukerji, before that he did Wake Up Sid with Ranbir.
The film which has appealed to the youth has become a huge success at the box office and is being loved even today. It explores friendship, family, relationships, and marriage throughout the film. As the film completed a decade of its release, the filmmaker Ayan Mukerji took to Instagram to share his memories.
Sharing a special video he wrote "YJHD - My second child, a piece of my heart and soul - 10 years old today! ❤️

Making this movie was one of the greatest joys of my life! And what we achieved with it - with all its perfections and imperfections - is a source of great eternal pride for me!
Strangely, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fully from beginning to end, since the day it released …
(Always pushing towards the next milestone, and not looking back enough…!)
But when I’m older and wiser - I think I will watch the movie at least once a year - because a big part of who I was and how I looked at life - is forever captured in this movie!
In recent months, I have often had people recognise me and come up to me… and I’m thinking they will say something about Brahmāstra, and then they started talking about YJHD!
So, putting out a whole lot of gratitude for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani… and all the many people who connected deeply with the movie over the years! ❤️🎈💥
Also sharing a Director’s Note I had written at the time, in my story which someone special from my team shared with me a few days ago… and it brought back all kinds of memories for me!

Ayan shared many BTS pictures on his Instagram and also shared a director's note from 2013 which he wrote while shooting for the film.
Deepika Padukone shared the video on her Instagram story and said 'A piece of my heart and soul'.
A fan wrote "For 10years please rerelease this one for once with all extra cuts 💗💗💗💗💗 please please …" and another said "Life in 20s revolves around this movie ❤️ Bollywood dreams".

The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles.
