Nepotism is one major controversial topic in Bollywood for quite some time.
Over the years, many actors starting from Kangana Ranaut have opened up about
Nepotism and voiced their opinions on different platforms. Now, Rajkummar Rao
who is known for his extreme talent added his name to this list. The actor
will be seen in upcoming film ‘HIT-The First Case’ which is releasing on 15th
July 2022.

Talking at the India Today Conclave, Rajkummar Rao has shared his views about
Nepotism and how OTT platforms are creating more opportunities to the aspiring actors. One of the questions asked by the Interviewer, “What do you want to
say for a young guys who is an outsider trying his luck in Bollywood? To get a
good film or good character with nepotism still existing in the industry?”.
Answering this question, Rajkummar Rao said “Nepotism is there in Bollywood.
But I think now there are many oppurtunities. Thanks the the OTT platforms as
well. I have friends in the industry who are my classmates, who are amazingly
talented but they were not getting enough opportunities. Like Jaideep Ahlawat
who did very well in ‘Paatal Lok’ which has opened many doors for him. Also,
Pratik Gandhi in scam 1992. There are so many amazing actors out there. But I
think there are enough oppurtunities and nepotism will be there but eventually
your work and your talent will speak and that is the only thing which is take
you forward and nothing else.”

Rajkummar Rao is a classic example who has made his mark in the Bollywood
without coming from the film family. The 37 years old actor has done
incredible job in movies like Newton, Shahid, Aligarh, Citylights, 5. Bareilly
Ki Barfi, and Love Sex Aur Dhokha to name a few. His next film ‘HIT: The First
Case’ is a remake of Tollywood’s film, made by the original director Sailesh
Kolanu under the production of T-Series Films and Dil Raju Production. The
movie has Sanya Malhotra as the female lead. Cinematography by S. Manikandan
and background score by John Stewart Eduri. It will be releasing in theatres
on 15 July 2022. Lately, the making video of song ‘Kitni Haseen Hogi’ has been released by the makers.
