'The Kashmir Files' Director Vivek Agnihotri Says Akshay Kumar Praised His Film Out Of 'Majboori', Talks About Other Actors In The Industry.

We have witnessed films like RRR and KGF 2 creating sensation at the Hindi Box Office which are made in the south. However, there is one Bollywood film which has created a storm at the box office. We are talking about Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' based on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus during the insurgency in 1990. It has collected around 340 Cr worldwide. Its the only Bollywood film released post pandemic and has reached 300Cr club. In a recent Interview, director Vivek Agnihotri has talked about Akshay Kumar praising his film earlier during an event.

After receiving overwhelming response for 'The Kashmir Files', Akshay Kumar showered praises on Vivek Agnihotri and his film at an event when the media asked about his thoughts on 'The Kashmir Files' success. At the same time, Akshay's Bachchhan Paandey has hit theatres and was declared as flop and the successful running of The Kashmir Files was also one of the reason for poor collections.

Vivek Agnihotri has even shared Akshay Kumar's video and thanked him for apprecating his film.

Now, the director has said that the actor has appreciated his film out of helplessness. Talking in an interview, he said "Woh toh majboori mein ab kya bolega aadmi jab 100 log saamne khade hoke sawaal puchenge Kashmir Files. 'Aapki film nahi chali aur woh chal gayi' toh kya bolsakte hai? Woh toh main ek function mein tha Bhopal mein usme bolna padh gaya.".(Translation: What can you say in front of 100 people when someone asks you that your film did not work but The Kashmir Files did).

He further added "Ek aadmi ne mujhe message nahi kiya…Sablog apni film promote karne jaate hai aur media waalein unse Kashmir Files ke baare mein puch lete hai. Toh unhe majboori mein kuch bolna padhta hai. Par apne mann se kisine kuch nahi bola."(No one texted me, everyone has been asked about 'The Kashmir Files' by media at different events when they were promoting their respective films so they praised it but they did not do it from the heart.)
