Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone announced her big project in association with
STX films. This is gonna be her Hollywood comeback film. The actress currently
has the back to back films to shoot. Recently, her movie with Hrithik Roshan
Fighter has been confirmed and will hit theatres in January 2023. However, now
the new announcement is trending on social media platforms. This is going to
be a cross-cultural romantic drama and the actress is going to play the
leading lady in the film. Deepika Padukone is co-producing the film under the
banner of Ka Productions.
The film is going to be produced by the STX film and they are in talks with
Temple Hill Productions, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen to develop the project.
This will be the second Hollywood film of Deepika Padukone after the xXx:
Return of Xander Cage. In the recent statement, the actress said about her
next film that “Ka Productions” was founded with the aim to develop and
produce purposeful content with global appeal. I’m thrilled to be partnering
with STXfilms and Temple Hill Productions, who share Ka’s ambition and
creative vision and look forward to bringing impactful and dynamic
cross-cultural stories to the world”.
Meanwhile, the makers also gave their official statement regarding the same
and said “There is a reason Deepika is one of the biggest global stars to come
from India. She is enormously talented with an infectious personality and her
profile continues to grow as an international superstar. While she has been a
phenomenal success in many Eros International films, we are thrilled to be
building a romantic comedy with her and our friends at Temple Hill. We believe
this project gives us the opportunity to tap into the spirit, voice,
characters and vibrant settings of India and New York in ways that made Crazy
Rich Asians feel so authentic and fresh”.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone recently wrapped the shooting of Shakun
Batra’s untitled film. It also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
She also has ‘Fighter’ opposite Hrithik Roshan. Besides this, Deepika Padukone will be the leading lady in Prabhas next venture.
