Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, all the film shootings got
postponed across the nation. Karnataka is one of the most affected states in
the second wave. The state is under lockdown, while many people are left with
no work. NGOs, Corporates, and even individuals are coming forward to help the
people in distress. Likewise, our film stars also coming together to help the
needy.
The Pan India Star from the Kannada film industry, Yash announced help for the
3000 members from the film fraternity. The actor released a statement on
Twitter in which he promised to donate 5000 Rs each for them. He tweeted
“Covid 19 has proved to be an invisible enemy that has dismantled the
livelihoods of innumerable people across our country. My own Kannada Film
fraternity has been badly affected as well. In light of the grave times we
live in, to each of the 3000 odd members which includes all the 21 departments
of our film fraternity, I will be donating from my earnings, a sum of Rs 5,000
to their personal accounts. While I am very well aware that this may not serve
as a solution to the loss and the pains caused by the situation we are in,
it’s a ray of hope, since it’s hope that is certainty of faith, faith of
better times”. Yash also said that this is not the ultimate solution for this
problem. There are many instances where Yash came forward to support the
people in need.

On the other hand, Yash is eagerly waiting for his most awaited Pan India film
KGF chapter 2. This film is directed by Prashant Neel and bankrolled by
Hombale Films. The film is slated to release on 16 July 2021.
