Why Shakun Batra Not Cast Ishaan Khatter In Deepika Padukone Led Untitled Project.

Shakun Batra’s next directorial venture features Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandya in the lead roles. While the makers were searching for an actor to cast opposite Ananya Panday. Finally, the makers cast the new talent Dhairya Karwa. Before Him, the makers were considering roping Avinash Tiwary but finally, he is out of the race.

Ishaan Khatter was the first choice of the makers opposite Ananya Panday as he is the rumoured boyfriend of Ananya Panday. They were likely to do this film together. But things didn't go right so eventually Ishaan Khatter got dropped from the film. According to some source informed a leading daily regarding this as "It's when Deepika was roped in opposite Siddhant that everything changed. Karan and Ishaan have never shared a warm relationship after a few deals didn't work out. Also, the story is such that Dhairya's character gets intimate with Deepika's character in the film. It's a complicated tale about extra-marital relationships and Ishaan would have looked very odd opposite Deepika. He would have looked too young and hence Shakun decided to go with Dhairya instead. The whole extramarital issue has been treated with a lot of sensitivity, a la typical Shakun style and it's an emotional watch”.

However, now the whole cast is locked in for the film. While the film shooting was done many times as the leading actors spotted together during their shoots. This directorial untitled venture of Shakun Batra’s is a domestic noir drama. The film will be released at the end of this year.
