Sara Ali Khan is currently shooting for her upcoming comedy film Atrangi Re.
According to the sources, the actress Sara Ali Khan will be seen in a double
role for the first time. Her recent film Coolie No.1 with Varun Dhawan failed
to impress the audiences. Now the Simmba actress talked about her role in the
Atrangi Re. This film stars Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in the lead roles.
The actress Sara Ali Khan seems very much excited about the film as its
shaping well till now. In a recent interview with a leading daily KoiMoi. She
said “don’t know, it’s never about that for me. My career for me has never
been about, ‘aaj commercial film karte hai, kal serious ya parso solo film
karte hai or Ranveer (Singh) ke sath karte hai.’ Aisa nahi hota. Mere liye
hamesha ye hota hai ki agar koi mujhe koi kahaani sunaye, and mujhe lagta hai
ye kahani mujhe suna hai. Ab wo chahe wo kahaani mai akeli suna rahi hu ya
mera chota hissa hai ya bohot bada hai – at the end of the day, I do want to
tell good and relevant stories. (My career has never been about planning a
commercial film today, doing a serious tomorrow or working on a solo film day
or one with Ranveer Singh). Sara Ali Khan further said that “It doesn’t work
that way. For me, it’s about telling stories that I feel should be told. Now
it doesn’t matter whether that film is solo or I have a small part to play in
it”.
After that Sara Ali Khan talked about the role in Atrangi Re, As she said “But
I do think that, especially after Atrangi Re, I have become a little bit
greedy and I do think that I want to do meaty things. Uska matlab ye nahi hai
ki akele Karna. I just want to do a role and a character that I can get into
and a story that deserves to be told. I don’t like to complicate it more than
that”. As per the actress, she becomes greedy after Atrangi Re and she wanted
to do meaty things and she doesn’t want to it herself alone.
On the professional front, Sara Ali Khan last featured in Coolie No.1. This
film is directed by David Dhawan and it also features Varun Dhawan in the lead
role. Sara Ali Khan will be next seen in Atrangi Re Helmed by Aanand L Rai and
this will hit cinemas on 6th August 2021.
