On Tuesday the actress and international icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas launched
her most awaited Unfinished memoir. Since the launch of the memoir, many
things and incidents of Priyanka Chopra’s life are coming out. Even, she wrote
in her book how a director asked her to show her panties for a song. However,
according to Memoir Unfinished the actress Priyanka Chopra also wrote about
her relationships and also talked about the difference between Bollywood and
Hollywood romance.
Priyanka Chopra wrote about being in back to back relationships and how it all
ended dramatically. After this, she decided to put the full stop to being in a
relationship and why she took a break from the relationship. As she wrote
“Looking back on that time in my life, I see that I was working way too hard
both professionally and personally. I made four films a year for almost a
decade. To do that, I worked 15 or 18 hour days, including weekends. That’s
simply the investment that was required if I wanted to reach the highest
echelons of the film industry in India. But it left me almost no time outside
of work, and as I reflect on that period now, I wonder if that’s how the
problem started”. This she quoted in her memoir unfinished.”
“In 2016, after my last breakup, I consciously decided that it was time to
take a daying hiatus. I was finally realizing that whatever I was doing in
relationships wasn’t working, and I knew I needed to focus on myself in order
to understand why. Equally important, maybe more so, was the fact that my
father had died more than two years earlier and I was still struggling with
that grief. I had initially tried to block out my emotional devastation by
throwing myself even harder into work if that’s possible. But my grief, my
confusion, and my exhaustion were all catching up with me and I was coming to
understand that I needed time alone, time without a relationship. So after
being in back-to-back relationships for more than a decade, I hit the pause
button hard” Priyanka quoted.
The desi girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas also revealed and wrote about the
difference in romance in Hollywood and Bollywood. She wrote by explaining it
as “Love is love and romcoms essentially drive the same emotions. There are
not too many differences apart from language and maybe the song sequences and
possibly the degree of dramatisation”. In the unfinished memoir, she talked
about her life struggles and many other things.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently made her screen appearance in the Netflix film
The White Tiger along with Rajkummar Rao in the lead role. She will be next
seen in Matrix 4.
