Kshitij Prasad is the executive producer of Dharma production, he got arrested by NCB while officials found the drug at his Mumbai house after the raid. However, he said that the NCB had forced him to implicate Karan Johar. In response, to this allegation, NCB officials denied this claim and said they have done their job in a professional manner.
On Saturday, former executive producer of Dharmatic Entertainment, a sister concern of Karan Johar’s Dharma production was arrested by NCB told to Court that he was forced by officials to falsely involve actors Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Dino Morea names. Kshitij Prasad told, "I have been repeatedly harassed and forced into falsely implicating Dino Morea, Arjun Rampal and Ranbir Kapoor in the present proceedings despite me repeatedly stating that I do not know the said persons and have no knowledge of such allegations". He also claimed that NCB tries to sign on the false statements.
Satish Maneshinde a lawyer of Prasad file a plea in court and wrote "I say that I am being mentally, emotionally and psychologically harassed and abused by the complainant (NCB) into making false statements. while Satish said, "Upon reading of the statement, the accused also realised that many parts of the statement were unilaterally included by the officers without his consent (and) are completely false". Prasad also told that NCB threatens him.
NCB countered his claims and told that he was totally non-cooperative, adamant and arrogant, he refused to sign the statements even NCB further told He was trying to bargain hard for putting his signature on the statement in lieu of removal of Section 27A of the NDPS Act. However, this offence is non-billable and Prasad to being custody till October 6.
